Our Team

Who are these guys and gals, and how did they learn how to build such amazing websites?

Well, We're a Small Team with a GINORMOUS Cup of Coffee.

Yes, ginormous is a real word, trust us, we Googled it. After designing and developing over 300 web sites over the past decade, you've gotta believe that we know what we're doing. When it comes to the web, you can bet we've seen it, heard it and done most all of it. We're not a one-man outfit that promises the world and falls short on delivery, (like a lot of other options that may be out there). We're a carefully constructed and closely-knit team of fanatical graphic designers, web designers, project managers, web developers, e-commerce experts, SEO gurus, copywriters and custom php programmers. We've got someone on our team that can fit into every virtual nano-nook of the web design and production process. Go ahead, throw it at us; we'll catch it, make it look great, make it work better and then throw it back at you curve-style.

Yeah, but who are you really, and who does what?

Jon is our creative director, owner and founder.
He oversees all of the projects, acts as the creative director and handles the majority of the project/client management. He's also gotten really good at taking out the trash and showing everyone else how to use the espresso machine correctly. (If you leave the grinds in the portafilter or have big bubbles in your steamed milk, you're probably not going to hear the end of it anytime soon.) When he's not designing awesome websites, he's a father of two, does a lot of weekend-warrior yard work, plays guitar, cooks up a storm and pretends he might still have time to go bass fishing again one day.

Amanda is our office manager.
She shares the administrative duties, account management and keeps our books nice and tidy. She might even bust out an entire website from top to bottom once in a while and not tell anyone about it. She also gets told she has a nice phone voice on a regular basis. She can be found shredding all our old papers and junk mail to take home and use as chicken shavings on her farm back at the house, where, when not in the office, she's growing 8 foot tall tomato plants, 14 foot tall cornstalks and other awe-inspiring vegetables.

Jonas is our front end web developer.
Pretty much anything you throw at him, he'll somehow handle in an almost unbelievable way. Not only is he cranking out the frontend code for websites on a daily basis, he also helps handle all the in-house, day-to-day website updates for existing customers, web hosting issues, email issues, and beyond. He helps keep all the little but important things rolling while bigger projects are being put together in the background. Not only that, Jonas is pretty much the nicest guy you'll ever encounter on this planet, and I mean that. If you end up working with him and don't feel the same, well then, we're going to have to have a serious conversation! In his spare time he takes photos of long walks on the beach, plays bass guitar and occasionally finds himself at Chili's (yes, the chain restaurant - Don't get any ideas and show up expecting web updates, it's strictly leisure time - plus, don't think he can't spot a non-regular - he'll see you coming a mile away!)

Kelsey is our Project Manager.
Sit tight, be patient, bookmark this page, and set a reminder to check back for more on Kelsey. But for now, all you need to know is that daily V8's and Red Bulls are involved.

Laura is our Web & Graphic Designer.
We'll tell you a little more about her soon, if you're lucky. It will make your day, there's no doubt about that.

Ashley is our Assistant Project Manager & Designer.
She handles ongoing project management and website maintenance with existing clients, along with layout and design production. You know all those little rush updates and changes to websites that a company like us gets on a daily basis? Well, Ashley also helps us out with a lot of those to make sure all of our client's websites reflect the most up-to-date information possible. Consider yourself lucky if you have the opportunity to lend your ears to her wisdom. Praying mantis' are her power animal, but she also has a strange connection with sea cucumbers. When she isn't being one of the coolest chicks alive, she's batting down constant requests for her to run for mayor, plotting to acquire more dogs that like to bark, and having a frosty beverage or two.

Dustin is our Front End Web Developer and Wordpress Specialist.
He turns all of our custom website designs into clean, search-engine-friendly html/css code and everything that goes along with the front-end production of our sites. He also implements many of our customized Wordpress Blog platforms to seamlessly integrate them into our custom sites. In his spare time he gets pirate tattoos, obsesses about the San Francisco Giants, hits the drums really hard (Jon told him how to do that - the hitting them hard part that is) and most importantly, concentrates on hair farming. He usually works at home, so we picture him laying on a couch in some long, red and white striped underwear pajamas, with a glass of Disarono on the rocks on the night stand, and a framed poster of Dave Grohl hanging behind him on the wall.

Alvin is our Backend Web Programmer.
Once we're done with all of the planning, design and html production, Alvin steps in to do most all of the backend work. He builds each our custom content management systems (a.k.a. "Sleepless CMS") from scratch, custom-tailored for every site that needs it. He also handles all of our heavy php/database programming, javascript work, general daily maintenance and other stuff that is only possible if you are a complete nerd, with a name like Alvin, and little-to-no social skills to boot. When not working, (which is very rare), he's a father of three and spends time with his family. We'd like to think that he even might sleep on occasion? (In a bed that is, he's accustomed to falling asleep in his computer chair.)

Robert is our store developer.
Also known as "Bob the Store Guy," he handles many of our e-commerce shopping cart projects. He codes layouts as necessary, and beautifully integrates our custom site designs into living, breathing online stores. He helps answer a lot of our dumb questions, and he regularly tells us when we are doing something wrong. Even when he doesn't understand why a client would want a store to work in a way that is against his better judgement, he does it for us anyway! When not working, he can be found at a chain restaurant near you, watching bad TV and thinking that Apple products suck. (We all know he's sorely mistaken about that!) Oh yeah, and it's worth mentioning that his phone voice has an uncanny resemblance to that of Barney Gumble from The Simpsons.

Matt and Christine are our in-house inbound marketing/search engine optimization (SEO) specialists.
They offer SEO strategies and expert consulting to help our clients get higher rankings in search engines. Keyword analysis: yep. Backlinking: yep. Robust reporting: yep. All around awesomeness and helpfulness: double yep. We pride ourselves on building extremely search-engine-friendly websites, but there's a lot more to good SEO then just having a well-coded website. Christine and Matt are going to help you navigate the ever-changing world that is SEO, and will ensure you're picking the most effective battles. Oh, and did I mention they like to play with the thesaurus and can bang out awesome copy for your website? They can be seen regularly at all of those business marketing conventions and seminars you'll never have the time to go to, soaking in every detail to find the best ways to give our clients the edge. Fortunately, they don’t wear those “Hi, my name is” name tags they get from those events around the office. Christine's half Italian, and Matt just wishes he was.

Victor is our Flash Developer.
"Can you make that move and do something cool?" No, but Victor can! Also known as "Our Flash Guy," he handles all of our Adobe Flash work. You want snow falling from the sky? Smoke coming out of a chimney? Something else that won't show up on an iPhone or an iPad? Well, Victor makes all that happen for us. If he's not doing something in flash, he's on vacation doing something fun while we are not.

*I am interested in the following:
Web Design or Redesign
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
Online Marketing / SEOtooltip
SEO or "Search Engine Optimization" is the process of optimizing your website for high search rankings in search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. If you are interested in SEO or Online Marketing in general, please check this box.
Logo Design / Brand Identity

Mobile-Responsivetooltip
Mobile Responsive websites dynamically size down and tranform to many different screen sizes and devices, including desktop computers, tablets and smart phones. It is quickly becoming the standard and is highly recommended. If you are interested in a user-friendly mobile version of your website, please check this box.
E-Commerce / Online Storetooltip
E-commerce is the selling of products or services online. If you will be taking money electronically via your website, please check this box.
Content Management Systemtooltip
A content management system (CMS) is a backend administration area of a website that allows you to quickly and easily edit designated text and images, quickly and easily without any coding. If you are interested in updating the website yourselves, please check this box.
Content Copywritingtooltip
Someone will have to write content for the website. If you will not be able to write your own content, and do not have an individual or company to write it for you, please check this box.
Other:
*Overview:tooltip
The devil is in the details. The more details we have, the better chance we have at making sure we suggest the proper solution, and snuff out any potential pitfalls the project may have.
*What are your main goals for this project?
*Is this a redesign of something that exists, or are you designing something new?
*Where do you see us adding most value or complimenting your company and staff?tooltip
Why do you think we'd be a good fit for developing your website? Why do you want to work with us?
*Who on your side will be working with us on the project?tooltip

*What is motivating you or enabling you to do this project now?tooltip
Trade Show? Product Launch? Just attained budget or investor?
Please list 3 websites you admire for reference:tooltip
We'd just like a general idea of sites you like. They don't have to be the same industry, or exactly what you want. Sites you really like are great, but we can always come back to it later.
If you don't have any, feel free to leave them blank, but it's very helpful to have an idea of what kind of style you are looking for.
*How important are each of the following to you?:
Changing your online presence/strategy.tooltip
Taking a new approach on your online content, marketing and presentation.
Design, Rebranding, New Image / Look & Feel:tooltip
The look of the website. The design, user-interface, layout and graphics.
Programming/Backend Content Management System:tooltip
Database programming is the backend functionality that powers the website and how it works. For instance, an e-commerce platform or a content management system.
Quantifying success, results or conversionstooltip
Are you looking for statistics on what works and why?
Content Strategy/Writingtooltip
If you or your staff are writing your content yourselves, or you already have a professional copywriter, this probably isn't very important. If you would like our help writing content for you, this is important.
Understanding Your target Audience/Users/Customerstooltip
Some clients already know and understand their target customers. Others do not and would like our help with that.
Getting it done as fast as possible:tooltip
Did you need it done yesterday? Do you have a deadline we should be aware of? Or do you know that good things take time?
Getting it done as inexpensively as possible:tooltip
What's more important to you - getting it done on the smallest budget possible? Or getting it done right?
Differentiating from the competition:
Reaching a new audience:
Better demonstrate value or misconceptions:tooltip
Do customers have a hard time understanding your product or services?
Working relationship/communication with your designer:
If you have an outline, sitemap, RFP or other document, please attach it here:tooltip
In other words, we want to know what you have in mind. What sections or pages you envision having on the website? What crucial functionality or features will those pages require? How big is it roughly? A bulleted list is a good start, and other companies provide a full RFP (Request for Proposal) which can be helpful. If you have anything, please attach it. If not, we'll address that in our discussion.
