Franklin's Gourmet is a flourishing popcorn business based out of Seattle. We're self-confessed popcorn addicts, so we were excited to work with their brand, their team, and most importantly—their excellent popcorn. With years of experience in the ecommerce space, Franklin's sought us out as their Shopify designers of choice to not only execute their new website but supplement much of their branded print design needs as well.
We cooked up a new website from scratch for Franklin's, unveiling an entirely new online strategy for their brand. Some logo tweaks here and some custom icons there—a conversion-focused user-experience enables them to showcase some of their top selling products in a more engaging manner.
We came up with a fun new style for the site's homepage, with a "scroll-to-explore" long page format. With the perfect balance of text, graphic elements and imagery that lead the eye in a natural way as you scroll, it falls in line with proven ecommerce conversion rates as seen on Amazon and other hugely popular retail sites.
We peppered in some custom iconography on the homepage to better guide the user's eyes. These icons help break up written content with something that draws people in and visually depicts a theme. We wanted folks to continue to scroll down to specific calls to action, even if they're just skimming through.
As an essential part of the project, we designed several distinct product page templates for their team to leverage, better educating customers on their products. A super customized backend, they can control all designated content with the use of custom fields, making management simple. More photos, videos, product specifications and other details to the forefront.
Franklin's was so happy with the website's look and feel, they not only asked us to assist with some of their other ecommerce brands but also asked us to take on some fun packaging projects. We laid out new packaging for their Kettle Corn offering, along with their seasoning variety packs and more.
