In the start-up phase, with an upcoming appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank, Hatch Baby needed to cover a lot of ground quickly. They approached us looking for a Bay-Area-based Shopify expert who could collaborate closely with them to support and enhance their marketing website. We picked up from the look and feel they initially started, then redesigned and expanded as their needs quickly changed.
All of our design and development work went into a custom Shopify theme, harnessing the power of Shopify Plus. To take preorders, we seamlessly integrated Tilt/Open so they could start taking orders before the product was ready to ship. All of this gracefully displayed using elegant, sweeping parallax imagery as the user scrolls. Offering a mobile app, the requirement for a mobile responsive site was a no-brainer. Mobile users will be able to hop from the website to the app and back, seamlessly.
When it came to the about page, we encouraged the client to expand upon the story behind the company with a family vibe to show where the company’s coming from, and where they’re going. We also collaborated closely with Hatch’s VP of Marketing to incorporate special goals and tracking features to support their complex marketing needs. Heavily cutomizing Shopify’s native setup, we paid special attention to detail in every aspect of the user’s experience.
To better communicate the amazing new product and its features, motion was integrated throughout the site. The main banner area features multiple videos in the background, while embedded YouTube videos are strategically placed throughout. Their video player content is present both on YouTube and their website, enabling them to save on bandwidth, access a larger audience, and essentiallly kill two birds with one stone.
