Under the Radar
Having handled their existing web presence in-house, Zpack's loyal following had outgrown its current site by a long shot. Based in Florida, they found us tucked away in the outdoor mecca of California to re-platform to Shopify Plus and custom craft a website worthy of their world-renowned gear.
Gear for the Detailed
The collections and product detail pages were easily the most important and complex piece of the project. With backpacking trips, it's all about size, weight, and the minute details. The information needed to be easy to get at, and easy to digest. With tabbed content on the product pages, we were able to keep it all clean and uncluttered.
The navigation menu is a multi-layered setup that narrows down their offerings in a graceful, simplistic way. To top things off, we illustrated some custom icons as guides for the customer journey. And at the end of the trail? Conversions at a monumental scale.
Sometimes the littlest detail can have a huge impact. Clean, custom icons were designed for product and navigation categories, adding just that something extra and supporting the menu wayfinding.

The founders of Zpacks are no slouches. They don't just hunker down within the company walls pushing pencils. They get out in the wild every chance they get and best of all, they document it. When, where, what they carried; it's all there, and we gave them an easy way to link up all their recommended gear to reference the recommended products if they want to follow in their footsteps.

In step with the excellence of their products, we kept everything lightweight and fast. Their former site wasn't mobile-responsive, so needless to say their mobile conversions have increased dramatically since the launch of the new mobile-friendly website.
